I was there on 11/10/2016. Too bad the lowest rate you can give them is 1 star. I would be happy to give these rude thieves zero stars! For 3 minutes late, which by the way I spent waiting by the window when they were serving other customers, they asked me to pay $10..00 extra. This means they charged $3.33 per minute! The most expensive parking I ever paid. Stay away from this ugly place.

I was attending my sons bday party at kidsville next door. Independence Garage validates tickets for two hours. I was late 8 minutes (had two kids) and was charged $30. I said You got to be f...kidding.. guy replied you got to f....pay! Mean, angry, rude.... I had two small kids, told him you are not taking money away from me, you are taking it from my kids.
This is a great place to park probably the best in Hoboken. Jose one of the attendant was very professional & helpful. People that complain about this place is because they are cheap & they don't want to pay. Nothing is free. Just park on the street & we will see what would be better. A $300 dollar ticket plus the boot or $10 dollars parking at little men.
The place is a scam! I have no problem paying for parking when it is legitimate. I pulled in on a Sunday morning. It is clearly marked on the ground floor "Public Parking". There were several spots open. I pulled in and proceeded to the pay machine. It had an out of order sign on it. I waited for several minutes at the window and no one was around. I was only staying for several minutes while I picked up my kids so I figured i could find someone in a few minutes upon my return. 10 minutes later my car was boxed in delibertly. When i explained the man working was very rude and said $30! I questionned it. He pointed to a sign that said "all day parking Saturday/Sunday $30". I explained that i had just pulled in, etc. I said it is very deceiving as i did not valet park, and I am not here all day. The area was available and clearly marked "public parking". If its not available it should be marked off. Then he threatened me saying he could charge me $260. I said for what? He was just yelling and I could not understand him. I was forced to pay the $30. It got better as he then said" cash only, the machine not working". sounded like a complete scam. I said I only have a credit card. He got nasty again. I said I would call the cops if he didn't process the payment and release my car. Absolutely horrible experience. He refused to give me a manager's name or anyone to contact. What a scam!
